Placed a small amount of WD40 on the rear rollers to loosen them. They loosened right up so I doubtable it was packed lint on the roller shafts, simply they began to spin freely straight away. Replaced starter. Thank god for the online video because the promised directions were not in the box and if the wiring had to be alter the education page for that was also not present.

Motor failure (really bearings on belt caster side).

You basically have to disassemble the guts of the dryer. Remove door (ii screws). Remove front confront of dryer. Elevator top free of sides. Remove forepart frame assembly. Have dryer barrel out of dryer. Detach blower and its shroud. Unscrew motor frame from dryer. Disconnect electrical harness.Lift motor, frame and blower housing from dryer. Remove blower blade (my most difficult task). Remove blower housing from motor frame. Free motor from motor frame by uncapping bearing tops. Supercede with new motor and reassemble dryer with each of the steps in contrary. Test motor after reinstalling barrel and its belt and then complete reassembly. Full general observations: Copy of manual had photographs which are of great help, I think. The ones packed with motor were copied and so many times they were not legible. Wiring instructions were too vague. I finally tried the motor the style information technology came and it worked. Y'all need several small-scale sockets and hand wrenches and i specialized tool...a retaining clip plier to remove two or three retaining clips. I had an advantage in that I had replaced the belt, tensioning pulley and barrel support wheels previously and discovered how to detach the front end. Also utilise the time to thoroughly vacuum out all the accumulated lint.

Motor locked up

One tip on this Maytag dryer don't completely tighten the retaining brackets when re-installing front embrace until you've also installed the door.
